Split personalities finally merging. Even when I'm in the city. Being a daddy is the best part. Everyone likes being useful, I think. The kiddo doesn't necessarily like having a camera stuck in her face, and I do respect that, but I warned her that it's still going to happen sometimes. I love her image and love showing how I love her and Nana still needs her Christmas calendar fix every year....

I used to really need to run. Be in the city. I still have people there I love. They are what makes my time there worth while, and then there's the money to be made when the film machine's wheels are working, but I've learned you can lose years there.

I find myself having a new relationship with the land around me and the stillness is so reassuring. When the girl's mom is at work and she is at school and I take the time to walk with my camera, I'm amazed by the idea that the only thing that seems to be moving out there is me....
